Ingredient Description

Coptis Chinensis

Coptis Chinensis is an herb known in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for centuries. Coptis Chinensis contains many compounds valued in TCM as powerful antibiotics and antiviral agents. One of those compounds is Berberine, which has many unique properties including support for healthy blood glucose and cholesterol levels. It also displays strong anti-inflammatory and anti-viral action. In natural pharmacopeia, Coptis is said to help in following health issues:

  • Diabetes
  • Diarrhea
  • Hypertension
  • Hyperlipidemia
  • Infections
  • Psoriasis

Numerous studies has showed Coptis positive effect on insulin resistance, heart disease and cancer.

Ziziphus Jujuba

Ziziphus Jujuba is a fleshy fruit that has many health benefits,, such as gastrointestinal possibly including anti-cancer ones. A study tested a water extract from Jujuba fruit for possible anti-cancer effects. Using DNA fragmentation analysis, it was shown that Jujuba fruit could suppress human tumor cell lines.

A study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry indicated that Jujuba fruit consumption can improve the gastrointestinal environment and reduce exposure of gastrointestinal mucosa to harmful and irritable compounds.

ZIziphus Jujuba because contains high levels of Vitamin C and Potassium. It could therefore be beneficial for heart and vascular health by work as a “gentle” vasodilator by promoting healthy blood pressure and microcirculation.

Zingiber Siccatum Rhizoma

Zingiber Siccatum Rhizoma, commonly known as ginger, has been known as a strong anti-inflammatory agent for thousands of years. It contain the bioactive compound (6) gingerol, which has been researched and clinically evaluated as an extremely useful agent for promoting overall health. Ginger is commonly used as a remedy for nausea, bloating, indigestion and constipation.

In Ayurvedic medicine, ginger is used as a effective detoxifier and lymphatic cleanser. The Journal of Microbiology and Antimicrobials published a study in 2011 that showed that ginger is a potent immune system enhancer. The study compared ginger’s ability to destroy Staphylococus aureus and Staphylococus pyogenes to regular synthetic antibiotics. It was shown that Zingiber’s potency outclassed that of drugs like Ampicillin, Chloramphenicol or Tetracycline.

Isatis Tinctoria

Isatis Tinctoria root (Ban Lan Gen) is used in TCM as an herbal antibiotic and antiviral agent. In TCM, Isatis is used to clear the toxic heat from bacterial and viral infections. Isatis contains several alkaloids – notably Tryptanthrin and Indirubin – that make it a powerful healing agent.

Indirubin in particular has, in a study reported in Nature Cell Biology, been shown to reduce cancer cell division and stop the expansion of blood cancer cells. The study showed that 26% of patients with chronic myelcitic leukaemia had complete remission of the disease (another 33% showed partial remission). Studies of acute viral respiratory tract infections, which are conventionally treated with antibiotic therapy, showed tangible effects of Indirubin.

Andrographis Paniculata Herba

Andrographis Paniculata (Chuan Xin Lian) is a a well-known herb in TCM for treatment of large number of ailments including: fever, infections, diabetes, influenza, malaria, skin diseases and many more.

Andrographis contains many compounds exhibiting powerful medicinal properties. Among these are Terpenoids (entalbdane diterpene lactones), flavones, norirdoided, xantones, polyphenols and other micro and macro elements. One of the most abundant diterpoids found in Andrographis is Androgropholide, though others include Deoxyandrographolide and Neoandrographolide, Isoandrographolide, andrographanin.

Many studies conducted by Asian scientists validated andrographis paniculata therapeutic properties. Dry herb water extract of Andropgrapolides and arabinogalctan proteins showed strong anti-bacterial activity against Baccilus subtilis, Escherichia Coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans. Andrographanin extracted from Androgephis paniculata leaves inhibited NO and pro-inflammatory cytokins (TNF alpha, IL-6, IL-12p70) in dose dependent manner.
